David is a specialist consultant in planning and designing developments in bushfire prone areas. He has been consulting in this field for over 15 years and operates his company ‘Peterson Bushfire’ Australia-wide. Prior to consulting David held positions with local government and the NSW Rural Fire Service, providing him with a breadth of experience on bushfire protection and planning matters.
Supported by a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons1) and a Graduate Diploma in Design for Bushfire Prone Areas, David is a BPAD Level 3 accredited practitioner under the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) accreditation scheme. He also sits on the FPA Australia national Bushfire Safety Technical Advisory Committee No. 20 (TAC 20).
David enjoys working with clients, whether it be assisting a couple realise their new home or partnering with NSW Government to plan new suburbs or deliver infrastructure.
