I began my landscape career as a horticultural trainee with a Blue Mountains landscaping company while completing a Cert in Horticulture at TAFE.
My interest in soil and plants became an obsession and after 5 years working as a Horticulture Supervisor in the Blue Mountains firm I landed my dream job with Secret Gardens of Sydney.
While studying a Diploma of Landscape Design at TAFE, I entered the TAFE Landscape Challenge, I had my designs built at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, taking out 1st place 2 years running.
I have recently opened my own business, Peta Frullani Designs. This has been a dream of mine since starting in the horticulture industry. Being a Blue Mountains local and involved with the Rural Fire Service for most of my life, I have taken an interest in creating fire risk reduction garden designs.
I have found clients to be understandably cautious about replanting after the recent fires, however, choosing appropriate plant species, positioned in such a way can reduce the risk of fire devastation.
