GIO is a leading Australian insurance provider and has been protecting and supporting NSW residents and their way of life for almost 90 years.

Originally founded as the Government Insurance Office New South Wales in 1927, insurance offerings include home and contents, car, compulsory third party (CTP), boat, caravan, travel, business and workers compensation.

Throughout its history GIO has maintained a strong commitment to the NSW community by supporting organisations such as Fire and Rescue NSW and Youngcare, but also through providing crucial support to customers when natural disasters strike, including the 2013 bushfires.

This year we continue our support as Major Partner of the Blue Mountains Bushfire Building Conference and Expo.

We are keen to share our work on disaster mitigation with residents and provide helpful and practical information to help them better understand their bushfire risk, improve their bushfire preparedness and ensure they are getting the best possible protection from their insurance.
