Blue Mountains City Council has a population of over 78,000 residents and 4 million visitors annually to our internationally significant World Heritage Area and unique tourist destination. Comprising 27 character-filled towns and villages spread along 100km of mountainous terrain, the City is located on the western fringe of metropolitan Sydney. The inaugural City of the Arts in NSW, the region boasts a vibrant arts community and local creative industries. Council is committed to delivering an extensive range of community, environmental, cultural, recreational, economic development, land use planning, tourism and emergency management services. Our mission is to improve the well-being of our community and the environment, now and in the future. Council and the community are working together to build a successful future for the Blue Mountains.
