Dear
Welcome to our May Newsletter.
Generating economic wealth in a region largely comes from providing goods and services to customers outside of the region. To explore this issue, we are hosting an on-line seminar this month which focuses on exports. All Blue Mountains businesses and start-ups are invited to register for this webinar taking place on Wednesday, 16 May at 12.00pm. Details for registration can be found here.
Planning is progressing well for the Australian Bushfire Building Conference in September. this year it will be held on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 September at the Fairmont Resort in Leura. Supported by the NSW RFS, this national conference brings experts from around the country into conversation with our local professionals. This event is unique in bringing together industry regulators, builders, architects and others to discuss regulation updates, policies, trends and innovations.
On Saturday, 8 September we will again be holding a Bushfire Building community day at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub in Springwood. More details will be available soon.
For those of you interested in furthering your skills in leading an organisation, the Australian Institute of Company Directors are holding their comprehensive 5-day company directors course also in Leura from Monday 23 July 2018. You can find more details here.

Bernie
