Since the beginning of 2019, the team at BMEE has been busy working on various Economic Development projects. Here is our monthly update to you on what's been happening.

Our focus on Creative Industries, and our MTNS MADE brand, are well-known to Blue Mountains residents. Following our successful February MTNS MADE Salon, our next Salon will take place on 20th March at the Avalon in Katoomba. For details, please see below. 

This month we have put a call out to any beverage makers and distributors in our region who might be interested in meeting up to form a Blue Mountains Craft Beverage Cluster. Watch this space for developments!

And finally, planning is already under way for our 2019 Australian Bushfire Building Conference and Community Forum and Expo. Once again, we are proud to be working with our major partners the NSW RFS and Destination NSW on these events.

Our special guest at the March 2019 MTNS MADE salon will be printer and photographic artist, Nina Lipscombe from Cottontail Press in Mt Vic. More details will be on our MTNS MADE Facebook page closer to the date.

Planning is already underway for our 2019 Conference on Weds 23 to Friday 25 October,at the Fairmont Resort in Leura. Earlybird registrations for the conference open soon.

The Community Forum and Expo takes place on Sat 7 September, at the Springwood Hub. Click here for news and updates on both events.

TAFE NSW is running drone courses at several campus locations, including Kingswood. If you live in the Blue Mountains and are interested, please get in touch with us. TAFE need 5-8 people to enrol in order to run a course at Wentworth Falls.
