July 2018

Dear

As we start a new financial year, I would like to acknowledge the support of our BMEE Board and the ongoing support of the Blue Mountains City Council.

In preparation for this year's Australian Bushfire Building Conference and Expo, BMEE is bringing together experts from around the country, and from overseas. This unique event crosses many professions and provides the bushfire building industry a networking forum to discuss issues and exchange ideas.

This year, Destination NSW is our new strategic partner for the event. They have come on board to help grow the Conference and Expo and to help them achieve their objectives of increasing vistation to NSW.

More information on the conference, which takes place on 6 - 7 September at the Fairmont in Leura, can be found later in this newsletter.

As usual, the Bushfire Building Community Day will take place the following day on Saturday, 8 September. We are excited to welcome Simon Marnie from ABC 702 radio who will be broadcasting his 'Weekend Mornings' program from the venue.

We are also once again very grateful for the on-going support of our Major Partner for these events, the NSW Rural Fire Service.

Regards,

Bernie
